Riz is an artist working with photography, book/print based art, installation, sculpture and sound. He is interested in exploring language, perception, history and objects and personal/cultural experiences and narratives re-imagined in new forms and how cultures, ideas and spaces can co- exist and develop.
In 2002, Riz co-edited and published a limited edition art book, Poetry Seen. He has participated in international residencies and festivals and his work can be found in both public and private collections such as the Museum of Fine Arts (Houston) and The National Portrait Gallery (London).
Riz is passionate about community arts education - facilitating workshops for Crisis and the NHS and outreach programmes abroad. He believes that knowledge is not static and does not only flow in one direction but that we are always learning, exchanging and developing as humans.
