Training a new generation of muralists.

The London School of Muralism is the only school of its kind in the world.

We teach our students to bring art to public spaces, engaging others in their creative process. This helps their muralism practice to be financially sustainable while making meaningful contributions to society through transforming our shared spaces.

Artmongers have produced more than 20 murals in South London over two decades and they have teamed up with other top professionals in the field, the likes of Lionel Stanhope, Gary Drostle and Adee (Artful Dodger) to deliver an inspiring course. Many of our own Graduates choose to come back and teach at the course, such as of Liv Wright from 34Bus, Shauna Blanchfield and Nadina Ali. We also welcome Cristiana Botigella, founder of Harts Lane to deliver 2 session of Fundraising for artists.

The full time course fee for 2026 is £990 and the part time fee is £890.

We are currently applying to the Arts Council of England to be able to offer 4 scholarships to maintain accessibility to people traditionally underrepresented in the arts. We designate two black artists who could not othewise access the course due to financial barriers and two for members of Cleanbreak (women who have been in contact with the justice system). This is an important form of outreach for our organisation. We will know if we are successful at the end of September.

Applications to our 2026 course are Now Open

To apply to our course, you will need to find a wall where you can develop your own participatory mural and a group to work with in a participatory processes. You will lead a design process, painting as a team, fundraising, evaluating, etc. By the end of the course, all students would have led their own participatory mural and been involved in one large scale mural project led by Artmongers. One will be at HMP Downview Women´s prison in Sutton and the other on Deptford market second hand square.
